Artist Statement

The focus of my art practice has been to explore complex emotions through creation. I often use the human body and colors to bring life to the thoughts and emotions that are difficult to put into words. The artwork shown here is a combination of work done in studio classes as well as personal artworks.  My experience in studio classes as well as my continued practice outside of class has prepared me to teach skills as well as concept ideation to my students as a way of not only exploring the world around us, but also as a way of self exploration.
