Allsides is an interactive tech tool to help tackle media bias. It is a news website that aims to strengthen our democracy with balanced news, diverse perspectives, and real conversations. This tool presents real news so is better suited for middle or high school students as you can not control exactly what news is presented. It also has a media bias rating for nearly 600 media outlets and writers allowing you to quickly identify different perspectives. I would use this tool the same teaching face to face and remotely. As an art teacher I would love to have students create relevant artwork that explores things going on in our day to lives. This tool would be a great way for students to gather research and get a full all-round perspective on the issues we face every day.
