Digital Footprint

Understanding your digital footprint is a concept that is important for students to understand. Understanding what a digital footprint is, how to manage it, and how you control your identity online are all things that students should understand. I will model this as a teacher through managing my digital footprint and practicing good habits online.

In my content area I would have students explore their digital footprint in an art project. They would illustrate their understanding of it, and what their online identity is. This would allow them to explore their own habits and look at it through a new perspective ultimately helping them to understand how they are viewed online and what their footprint looks like.
